Bicester Village Again

Assalamualaikum

Actually, we were not planning to go to Bicester Village until our guests requested us to go couple days ago. Anyway, it was my pleasure! haha. So we went there after school around 3.30pm..

We arrived at the famous chic outlet at 5pm, after 1 hour and half driving. All the way there Zahin was crying, frustrating that she cannot sit beside me. Hmm zahin, zahin..big jealousy there. :D

We arrived there at 5pm, still had 2 hours before it close. I really hope it enough for kak Fauziah to do shopping. For us, we didn't buy much, just a new sling bag for me, a chidren baking set for iris and a pencil colour set for Zahin at Cath Kidston. :D

It was freezing cold, very hard for the kids. So hubby stayed with Zahin and Zafri in the van while Iris accompanied me window shopping. I managed to enter Burberry, Kate Spade and Tods only..Tods because kak Fauziah happened to be in there ..otherwise i will not there to go into the boutique. :P

Anyway kak Fauziah bought two handbags at Tods and Prada, purses and wallets at Michael Kors and Ted Baker for her daughters, husband and son..glad that she was satisfied with the shopping because i was worried if two hours were not enough. hehe.

After shopping, kak Fauziah wanted to take photo with us..and then asked hubby to find any halal restaurant nearby as she wanted to treat all of us dinner for taking her and her son to Bicester Village. Aww, so generous of her. :)

Then we finally found Halal indian restaurant at Oxford city center and had a very lovely dinner with Chicken and Lamb biryani, fish fingers and fries for the kids, other side dishes that i don't remember their name. Zafri was a little bit cranky by that time in the restaurant. He threw things, he cried for me, refused to sit in the baby chair. He wanted to sit on my lap..

i think he was restless and awkward to be seated afar from me between hubby and Hamza, kak fauziah's son. hihi..nak buat macam mana Zafri, Along and Angah dah berebut nak duduk sebelah ummi dulu..:)

Anyway, we had fun. After thanking kak Fauziah, we went home. :)

Special Guests From Germany

Assalamualaikum

It has been almost a year since our last meeting in Germany during our Europe road trip last Easter break. Time really flies!

So Last tuesday, my coursemate at UIA, Kak Nana and her family flew to London Stansted airport from Frankfurt Hahn airport. Since the airport was just 45 minutes away from our place, hubby went to fetch them. Alhamdulillah we finally met again when they arrived at home around 10pm. So happy to meet but Kak Nana kids were exhausted so they were already fell asleep in the car. Hence the Eins did not manage to play with Fatini and Aleena that very night. Hehe..

Anyway, we had a dinner and a nice chat. I just made the simple menu which were nasi Tomato, Ayam masak merah, daging kurma, acar timun and salads. I also forgot about the dessert that night! so we had a pudding cocktail on the next morning during breakfast. :D Also, I was a bit late that morning to escape from my clingy and feverish baby so i just made quick meals, pasta goreng and roti canai instant. :P Nothing else special, sorry eh kak Nana, sila jangan serik ek. And kak Nana was also too kind to help me in the kitchen since i had to carry zafri most of the time hence the limited movement. Nway, thanks kak Nana! So sweet of you...hugs. :)

Unfortunatly, it was just a short meeting. :( Tak puas ok, neither hubby nor me managed to snap many pictures..we were busily chatting so forgot to take photos. No pic of food and no pic of the kids yang malu2 kucing bila berjumpa pagi tu..hehe. so again, thanks kak Nana and abg Azmir for visiting us. ;) so kind of you giving us chocolate and kids with the books and stickers..they love it very much! :)

Too bad, we are not in Easter break yet, if not we can take all of them sightseeing at central London together. Just teringat masa kitorang kat Kaiserslautern dulu, kak Nana and family took us tour le Kaiserslautern town. So sweet of them..it's one of the sweetest memory in our life. :)

Yassin's Birthday

Assalamualaikum

Yesterday we were invited to Kak Yaya's place in Dagenham for his son's birthday. We were shopping at the Exchange Mall when kak Ana called us around 2PM. Oh yes, kinda last minute but we're always on! Hehe. So after done with shopping, we went to KFC Halal at Seven Kings and bought the large size of family bucket set on the way there. If we were told earlier maybe i can prepare something more than that..hiks. But anyway, all the chickens gone in a blink of eye. Hehe alhamdulillah. :)

After solat Asar, the mothers all gathered around the table and chatting after not seeing each other since Raya Haji. There were also Kak Farah Mizy and family, Kak Ibah and family including kak Ana's family, kak Yaya's family and ours. We had a good long chat and had a lovely dinner. Some of the food were kak Ana's 12 yrs old daughter's home-made pizzas, good job Afifah! It's yummilicious, aunty Izu pon tak terer ok..:P. Kak Ana said that one of Afifah's subject now is Food Technology so she now liked to try new recipes. ;) Ala-ala ERT kt Msia. Besides Pizza, Kak Ana also brought Bubur Kacang Hijau plus Durian..and she even made fried kuey teow at kak Yaya's. Hehe mummy Na memang rajin. ;) 

There were also nasi putih, sup tulang, daging lamb masak pedas, ayam goreng, kek chiffon, cupcakes and muffins from our lovely host kak Yaya. They were superb! Lasagna and baked pasta by kak Ibah..Fuh, really made me full and bloated. Hehe alhamdulillah rezeki..Then only after Isyak prayer, we started the cake cutting session for the birthday boy. The kids also did not whine as they enjoyed playing tv games and slides. Only Iris who's bad mood since she had not taken her nap huhu. Zahin plak, so into game apps in our iphone..aihh anti-social girl betul lah dia ni..hehe tapi dah last-last baru main dengan Nafisah. :)

Finally, we did not realized that we had been there for almost seven hours..! Hehe but we really had fun and we might have another gathering soon. We'll see. So thank you so much especially to the host, kak Yaya and Aswat. In shaa Allah See you all again next time!!

REUNION

Assalamualaikum

My good friend since secondary school came visiting me few days ago for Christmas break. It has been years since we met last time. When i know Lilie got studying in York, i was excited and have always wished to meet up soon. Alhamdulillah we finally met. She came by train and we fetched her at King's Cross station. We were so happy to see each other and we chatted in the car like no body business. Zahin also annoyed with us, she said we were too loud. :D

Lilie was excited to see the Malay food at Malaysian Hall. But  honestly they were not as good as they look..and  as usual,  they're not cheap as well. huhu.

Afterwards, we took Lilie to Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. Yup, again for us huhu. And still it's not a suitable time to go. It's on Sunday and it's freaking crowded! We can't stay any longer. But i managed to find the magical ice rink in the middle of the Winter Wonderland. It's decorated beautifully with all the hanging bulb lights but that's all. My girls also did not asked to play any rides so we dismissed quite early than i had expected. Hihi.

 On the next day, i had a day out with Lilie. We felt like a school girl again hihi. Reminiscing our old days during our train and tube journey to Central London. Haha! Mind you that was my first time flee after two years. Well, it's not easy to escape from my kids ok. Hubby had to take them out to the Community library first, only then we walked off  to Seven Kings station. :)(Thanks Sayang! ^^)

 at first i planned to bring Lilie to Harrod's but when i checked the stops in the train (Tube), i saw the Oxford Circus station just two stops away from Holborn station, the station that we should stop and change train to take Piccadilly line if we want to go to Harrod's. Since it's already one way, so we did not stop. We went straight to Oxford Circus station to go to Oxford Street. since it was a Christmas Eve, the street was even more crowded. Honestly, i felt so nervous to be a tourist guide and i was lost in the crowd not knowing which way to go. Huhu. Luckily, there was a signboard and a map therefore it saved my life! What do you expect, that was my first time going to Oxford Street! huhu shamed on me...dah dua tahun dok kt London baru ni sampai Oxford Street. T_T Nak buat macam mana, it's a bit tedious to go with kids and buggies in such a crowded place..that's why we kept postponing it until the right times come. :D

Nice decoration at House of Fraser. HoF sales dia best giler but not everything on sale though! :( Lilie beli perfume, i beli handbag utk customer..

haha first time masuk Selfridge. Mmg selfridge, dah masuk rasa tak nak keluar sbb waa cantik sgt. Wakakaka! Selfridges hampeh sale dia still mahal....Grrrrr! sabo je la. So window shopping aje la...;P

On the way home, we took Distict line instead of Central Line because hubby had told us to stop at Dagenham East. Kak Yaya and Aswat invited us over to their place for a dinner. Aww, so nice of them. Rupanya hubby took kids to their house to play with their kids. Hubby told me, my kids were at the best behaviour. Enjoy main with friends, distracted habis sampai tak ingat ummi langsung. Dengan Zafri, Zafri skali ok. Sabo je la..ummi all the time ingat ok ke tak diorang ni. Siap beli present lg sorang satu kt Disney Store kt Oxford Street tu. Upah..takut balik rumah sume pakat merajuk dgn ummi at least adalah hadiah nk divert to kan. Hehehe..

Reunion Maahad Muar SPM Batch 1998 with Sarah n Bro Din. hubby excluded sbb dia sekolah lain..kekeke...

 During Christmas day, we all went to Southampton to visit our friend Sarah. Her husband was also in the same school with Lilie and me. So we knew him quite well too. Thanks Sarah for a lovely dinner and hospitality. Unexpectedly, we sleptover at their place that night because our car had a problem. The engine oil leaked badly until our car released smoked on the way to Soton. Sampai bau hangit ok..bahaya...so tak berani lah ktrg nak balik ke London malam tu jgk...dah la Chrismas hari cuti, kalau anything happened on the motorway sape nak tolong kan..huhu..aihh tu dah unexpected cost..lari budget nak berboxing day esoknya. Wakaka! Ni citer dalam entry lain la eh..Hehe..

Us after so many rounds of yummilicious breakkie before off to'boxing'. ada Mee bandung lagi..hmm..Tqvm Sarah! ^^

 Finally, it was time to bid a goodbye. Lilie's ticket on 27th of December and at the same station, King's Cross station. Station ni ada Platform magic Harry Potter's movie, Platform 9 and 3/4. Hehe tak perasan pon sebelum ni..Masa mertua dtg Summer haritu kami pergi Edinburgh naik kt King's Cross. Kalau tau boleh posing kt platform HP ni. Tade rezeki derg..:)

Zahin je ikut ummi hantar aunty Lilie smpi kt dalam..Babah tunggu dlm kereta because  kt situ tak boleh parking lama2..lagipun Iris dan Zafri tgh tidur.

Guest & Ikea

Last weekend, we had guest from Durham. Kak Nani aka Hnyhar came down all the way from Durham just to visit London before going back to Malaysia at the end of this month. (Back for good. Congrats again to KNani's husband Abg Zul, you're Dr. Zul now!)

Sorry not many pics were taken coz the main photographer was busy in the kitchen. hihi. So some of the menu served for the guests were Mee Bandung Muar, Nasi putih, Sup daging, ikan kering, sambal belacan, sayur kobis masak air, ayam goreng, puding cocktail berkuah. The next morning were bihun goreng, roti canai and kari ayam. (Also tk de pics mknn..)

Eventho just a common menu, but glad the guests love it. Alhamdulillah. TQ to hubby who helped me taking care of Zafri while i was cooking and TQ to KNani as well who helped this and that..mcm2 kn tuan rumah ni, terlupe itu terlupe  ini..KNani pun dh tau dah my clumsiness. huhu. Dulu masa first time bertemu mata, tlupe tutup api dapur lps goreng keropok..sabo je la. ;p

Zahin had fastly befriended with KNani's son, 7 yrs old Ameen. Instead of watching cartoon at laptop, they played Lego city together.

Joining them in were Iris and KNani's second, 6 yrs old Iffah. Iffah had fever so she's not in the mood. Kesian dia. :) Masa ni 3 yrs old Izzah, KNani's youngest was not in the pic..(still waiting a tagged pic fr KNani at FB)

TQ Kak Nani and family for visiting us! We were pleased to have all of you in here. Hope to see u all again and do keep in touch ok! Hopefully, it wont' be the last meeting. *hugs*

After hubby returned from sending them off near Big Ben we got ready for an outing. Co incidently, hubby wanted to buy a mattress for the Eins so off we went to Ikea at Edmunton. (The nearest).

Even it's already Summer now and the daytime strectch longer than before from 4.30 am til 9.20pm, Ikea and other shopping mall still close at 5pm on sunday. Boring betul. hihi..Klu kt Msia, still leh rambu-ramba smpi malam kn? :)

BTW, Summer sale plak dah start, ayik nk terjah shopping mall je kejenya. :D

GUEST FROM SOUTHAMPTON

On saturday last two weeks, my x-classmate during secondary, Sarah and her family had visited us. Sarah is currently doing her PhD in management at Southampton Uni now and she will go back to Malaysia to collect some datas at the end of this month. Bestnya!!

So before that, she and her family came up to London to buy some souvenirs for family and friend in Malaysia at Central London and managed to bring her kids at London Aquarium as well had a luncheon at Malaysian Hall. Hmm, kita bila nak sampai Msian Hall ek, yang? hehe..

But Sarah will only go back with her two kids while her husband who is also my x-schoolmate will stay in Soton since he works permanently now. So tak kan nak apply cuti 2 bulan setengah ye tak. Tapi kalau sy di tempat bro Shaza, sorila mau nanges kene tinggal sorang2! :D

They finally reached at our house just after Isya'. Alhamdulillah, tuan rumah pun dah hampir siap menyediakan makan malam untuk di jamu kepada tetamu jauh ni..Jamu nasi ayam madu, air sirap bandung, hot mango tea, fried potato wedges and some grapes and clementine oranges..that's all yang mak buyung ni terdaya buat..hihi.
