Strawberry Picking Summer 2012

This is another delayed post during family in laws visit last summer. :D

While my parents in law and brother in law were away to tour Europe, my sister in law's family stayed with us as the travel agent that my parents in law chose apparently did not allowed kids under 12 years old on their trip.

As the host, we tried to entertain the three of them as best as we can. That's when i got a plan to take my sister in law's family to Lavender's farm and berries picking. Apparently, they were really looking forward to both activity. Yay, so we made their wishes came true..:)

Venue: Crockford Bridge Farm, Surrey.

Time: August 2012

The farm is so big but well-organized. There was a signboard showing direction to which plants we wish to pick on our own. ;)

The farm was planted not only with fruits but as well vegetables. As usual, kids wanted strawberries so strawberries we were! Luckily they still have berries though it's already August. Alhamdulillah rezeki Chik and Syira..;)

On the way to the strawberry plantations, we passed by the sweetcorn plantations. Hubby and Zafri were willing to be my model. Hehe bila lagikan nak masuk ladang jagung omputeh..:P The Eins masa ni dah berlari-larian dengan chik, ayah wa and kakak Syira tak sabar nak picking strawberry. :)

The plantation was also a quite big size..jenuh jugaklah nak sampai hujung cari strawberry. Hehehehe. Bila dah jumpa port yg banyak strawberry tu apalagi masing-masing berlumba-lumba nak penuhkan bakul sampai yang muda kaler hijau pon si lil diva i tu picking..

For me, I enjoyed taking pictures and thankful for the lovely weather. Not too bright and not too gloomy compare when we were at the Lavender farm earlier. I really though it's going to rain at first but alhamdulillah it's not. Perfect for us to pick berries..;) Our lil Zafri also enjoyed picking cuma tade bakul jer! hehe..

strawberries banyak yang tak masak lagi..tapi yg dah masak, merah berkilat tu serius sedap, manis n so juicy ok...huwaaa mouth-watering plak i..:D

 Lepas semua dah puas hati dgn hasil tangkapan, now time untuk ummi posing-posing la puler...hehehe..

..and browsing back all these pics, really missed my girls's long silky hair...sob2!! kalau rambut diorang tak tangle teruk sgt, jangan haraplah ummi nak potong. Tsk. Sayang ok..hopefully, it will grow long quickly. 

Actually after strawberries, we had a chance to pick blackberries and raspberries but in shaa Allah will share in other entry..:)

Fun Way To Learn

Assalamualaikum

I don't have a special timetable. Usually, after the girls go to school, i only have about 2 free hours. But i'm not that free..:)

Masa tu lah nak masak lunch, layan email customers, blogwalking and at the same time, attending to lil Zafri. He likes watching Cbeebies so when he's watching i will sneak to the kitchen to cook lunch.

Kebetulan harini rehat sikit sebab Iris ada kat rumah. Dia tak berapa sihat so we kept her at home. So am not rushing to fetch her at 11.45am. Lagipun kat luar pon sejuk sgt so i don't want her to catch Athma again.

So when these two at home, they cannot meet each other. So to distract Zafri from bothering her sister, i took out the animal flash cards. So sukalah dia! But toddlers are toddlers. Bukan focus sgt..they are more to play rite..so i just follow his rhythms.

Only at the beginning, when i show him a bird card and said BIRD, he followed suit. Hehe cute..then i tried another card..but he's already into the Bird card. Dok tgk card tu and repeat Bird, bird, bird..hehehe..

Afterwards, he just wanna take all the cards from me! I said learn and say with me first then he can take it. Ya Allah, it's a battle ok..when he had it all, he threw all of them on the carpet then he ran and stepped on the cards! Huhu sabo je la ummi!! Penangan ank boy mmg mcm ni ke? ;p

Not only with me, he also didn't let Iris get the cards. Kesian Iris. Lepas pujuk baru dia ok..learnt together after seeing her sister gave a good example. Takpe lah at least main2 pon dapat learnt about animals kan Zafri? Well done!

Lepas main, Iris tolong kemas all the flash cards and kept them in their box..Good girl, Angah. :) Then baru ummi upah makan coklat! Nyums..bila dah kenyang plus penat mengantuk plak nk susu umi and terus took his nap..:)

But after he's asleep, there went all the noise..Sunyi sepi la plak..:(

Winter Wonderland 2013

Assalamualaikum

I know i'm pretty late to update this. But better late than never, right?

Well, the heavy snow finally hit us on 21st January. It showered the whole day and piled up on the ground and the next day we had a winter wonderland! Walla!

It was heavier than last year, more than 10cm! So as usual, we already planned to go to the park if there's snow and we already bought the sledges for the Eins several months earlier..so we kinda excited to try snow-sledging. :D

So since the car was refused to start, we walked to South Park though it was snowing that time. I was a little bit worried since Zahin already claimed that her legs were cold but hubby insisted on going so off we went.

As soon as we arrived at the park, we found that we were not alone. Others were already playing snow and posing here and there happily.

The park looked gorgeous and loved to see all the trees which covered with the snowflakes. Subhanallah, really enjoyed the view!

And the most important thing, the eins managed to sledge! they totally had fun! Both hubby and me were tired pulling them on the sledges..but there's nothing than to see their glowing faces. :)

Actually, Zafri's sleeping in the buggy most of the time there but we woke him up at the end. he's not in the mood to play with snow so he cried when we put him down on snow. hehe.

all in all, we totally had fun and glad that we went there...alhamdulillah for this precious and beautiful moment..Hopefully, that was not the last snow experience for us..Amin!

Yassin's Birthday

Assalamualaikum

Yesterday we were invited to Kak Yaya's place in Dagenham for his son's birthday. We were shopping at the Exchange Mall when kak Ana called us around 2PM. Oh yes, kinda last minute but we're always on! Hehe. So after done with shopping, we went to KFC Halal at Seven Kings and bought the large size of family bucket set on the way there. If we were told earlier maybe i can prepare something more than that..hiks. But anyway, all the chickens gone in a blink of eye. Hehe alhamdulillah. :)

After solat Asar, the mothers all gathered around the table and chatting after not seeing each other since Raya Haji. There were also Kak Farah Mizy and family, Kak Ibah and family including kak Ana's family, kak Yaya's family and ours. We had a good long chat and had a lovely dinner. Some of the food were kak Ana's 12 yrs old daughter's home-made pizzas, good job Afifah! It's yummilicious, aunty Izu pon tak terer ok..:P. Kak Ana said that one of Afifah's subject now is Food Technology so she now liked to try new recipes. ;) Ala-ala ERT kt Msia. Besides Pizza, Kak Ana also brought Bubur Kacang Hijau plus Durian..and she even made fried kuey teow at kak Yaya's. Hehe mummy Na memang rajin. ;) 

There were also nasi putih, sup tulang, daging lamb masak pedas, ayam goreng, kek chiffon, cupcakes and muffins from our lovely host kak Yaya. They were superb! Lasagna and baked pasta by kak Ibah..Fuh, really made me full and bloated. Hehe alhamdulillah rezeki..Then only after Isyak prayer, we started the cake cutting session for the birthday boy. The kids also did not whine as they enjoyed playing tv games and slides. Only Iris who's bad mood since she had not taken her nap huhu. Zahin plak, so into game apps in our iphone..aihh anti-social girl betul lah dia ni..hehe tapi dah last-last baru main dengan Nafisah. :)

Finally, we did not realized that we had been there for almost seven hours..! Hehe but we really had fun and we might have another gathering soon. We'll see. So thank you so much especially to the host, kak Yaya and Aswat. In shaa Allah See you all again next time!!

Parents Meeting

Assalamualaikum

We had Parents Meeting on last 17th of January. This time the Eins meeting were held on the same day. So that day, Zahin's finished at 1.30pm instead of 3.15pm so that parents can start meeting teachers as soon as the school time ended. :)

The meeting with Zahin's class teacher, Miss H was at 3.20pm but it only took less than 10 minutes. :D Too short to take pictures of her classroom before the meeting. During the meeting, Miss H said that Zahin's doing very well and told us she's kinda independent. Math and Literacy subject were her favourite subjects. Miss H said Zahin always get full marks in Math subject and she also showed us her Math reports. Hopefully she inherits from Babah who is very good at Math. As expected Miss H also said she loves reading and so into writing nowadays. She now have a diary and makes her own story-tale. ;) But Miss H said only that she needs to focus more on Punctuation. Ok noted...;)

Then we went to Iris's class. Unlike Zahin's meeting, Iris's Parents Meeting did not by appointment. Parents can come anytime between 3.30pm and 7pm. It's just a Walk-in meeting. So as soon as we arrived at her classroom, we saw the queue was quite long! Long enough for me to take a lot of pictures around the classroom. hehe curi-curilah tapi. :D They have a strict policy regarding privacy so cannot simply taking pictures without permissions.

managed to capture all Iris's work done at nursery and some were her homework..:)

For Iris, her class teacher said she's also doing good job. We also noticed her good progress. She can already write her name, Iris and her counting is much better..she passed her ABC until Z. Mrs. T, the class teacher told us that she gets along better with friends..but still she's quite..which really surprised us! We though she;s different from Zahin..but she's also as reserve as her big sister...hehe..

Other than that, we just discussed about her characters..when she is at home..etc. That's all..Mrs. T is a very easy-going person, we chatted with her longer than we were supposed to..no wonder other parents took long time too! haha...

Anyway, we were kinda satisfied to see their reports. Alhamdulillah. Keep it up to you both, my darlings! Ummi and babah will always be there for you..In shaa Allah..
