Spring Holiday: Cable Car Ride to Snow Paradise on Swiss Alps

Assalamualaikum

After Lake Thun, we went to Grindelwald again and this time managed to go up to Mt. Männlichen  aka the Snow Paradise, one of the Swiss Alps at 2343m over the sea level. Just to give the kids experience riding on a cable car. We bought tickets and took off from Männlichenbahn, Grund.

Our tixs. Bought three but paid only for two which costed us CHF64..they didn't charged Zahin and Iris, Zafri went up f.o.c  (below 5yo ;))
But never I know that the cable car ride is apparently the longest ride in Europe! Hoho no wonder I felt the 40 minutes ride was like 4 hours! But nevermind, the experience and the view of Gindelwald valley were priceless.

I was nervous all the way up but the others just relaxed. My kids kept swapping their place and standing to enjoy the view through the window during on the ride which wobbled the cable car and it did scared me to death! Huhu..

hugging my son to cast my fear away :P

two excited girls :D
The cable car was just nice for five of us..and nothing much can be done except photographing..:P

happy kiddos with doting dad ;)

this is how the cable car looks like ..very small for the massive journey huhu

tukar2 tempat..tak reti duduk diam ..hihi

just arrived...gasped for more air...LOL
Actually, there are many superb activities can be done up here like Skiing and snowboarding, winter /summer hiking to Kleine Scheidegg (most scenic), chairlifting to Wengen, mountain biking and helicopter and aeroplane flights for a breathtaking bird's eye view of mountains and glaciers. But if coming with student budget only can go sightseeing lor! Hihihi..

kunun2 jd student kt Swiss Ski and Snowboard School..:P

ni tgh belajar cara2 nak ski...:P
Anyway, it was all foggy and poor visibility on Mt. Männlichen, we went nowhere far from the station. Actually, if it's in Summer, we could walk to the summit..and would enjoy the spectacular view of famous Eiger, Monc and Jungfrau mountains from the mountain restaurant at the summit..huhu tade rezeki lg.

but still these girls had so much fun ;)
and i rather stayed indoor, was happy too! ^^
Along n Angah together took Adik to play snow outside. my fav pic here! credit to Babah. ;))
hands in hands kuis2 snow..cuteness! :D
And when we thought we had enough, we took the cable car ride down to Holstein, the transit station. On the way down, we captured some pictures again..

i wonder how he can ski in such a poor visiblity. kagum ok...;)
masa ni takut ok, rasa mcm dlm bilik kecil bdinding putih je..insaf sgt! sobs
kagum dgn ilmu dan skil serta teknologi yg Allah kurniakn kepada manusia yg tlh membina this mode of transportation
and really love the fantastic view, Subhanallah!
As soon as we arrived at Holstein, the place was much more happening. We could see clearly now. Hihi. We bought some snacks at the shop as we already ran out of ours. Not many choice though, we just bought crisps and evian mineral water..afterwards, we posed here and there and enjoyed watching other people skiing alive..;)

In most review, Männlichen is highly recommended place to witness stunning views with fewer crowds. But I really suggest you to go during Summer between July and September. So a lot of activities can be done and many places will be opened. But be prepared of their expensive costs almost on everything. But still if ada rezeki, we also wish to come again in Summer. Summer bila tu Wallahua'alam. hihi..

By the way, we had purposely skipped Jungfraujoch (4158m) or Top of Europe in our plan tentative because worrying of my kids health condition. Both Eins have Athma so we reckoned they might not fit enough or ready to conquer it.

I read that the pressure was very low up there and even in the good shape people could not stand it hence dizzy and throw-ups. So we better not to take any risk and glad we had made the good decision. Alhamdulillah, my kids were in the pink of health throughout the trip. :)

Till then..Wassalam.

Spring Holiday: Lake Thun, Swiss.

Assalamualaikum

I know I am so lagging behind but hopefully I could finish our Spring trip quickly. In shaa Allah!

Anyway, we managed to see Lake Thun closely. It was just across from the place we stayed at Manor Farm Caravan Park. We could just walk there but we opted to go there by car because we were planning to go to somewhere else straight afterwards.

It was still early in the morning. The place was quiet and peaceful, not many visitors yet at the moment we arrived. So we really had the place for us only..Though after breakfast, Zafri was still moody, I could not really remember why he cried out of his lung that day. :D

But as soon as he saw ducks, his mood swing changed abruptly. He was happily chasing the ducks with Iris. And they both filled the silence atmosphere with giggles and laughter. Hihi love the sight so much! They really are my sunshine!

While Iris and Zafri enjoyed themselves taking in natures but not Zahin. She was so engrossed playing with Iphone. Grrr! Not good..Hubby and I had a hard time asking her to keep the phone away but to enjoy the beautiful nature..But alas, she gave in.

How can one not give in with this such breathtaking view? It's so peaceful and tranquil. Though it was foggy but still love the ambience so much...Huhu really miss the place!

And yes, Zahin was all smiling once she saw the lake in front of her.

And so did Iris! She was already fully-recovered from Diarrhea, all energetic and ready to explore the place!

Musing over their future ;)

Obviously, it was cold from the way we wore. Nothing much can be done but I managed to dip my legs into the water. AND I could not stand in it even for a second minute, it was damn freezing!! My legs cramped for a while therefore I strictly forbid the others especially my kids to do the same..

Enough watching the lake, we explored the place while kids continued chasing the ducks. hihi. It was also a recreational park and then we saw some folks jogging. We could also see the clubhouse from the distance. There was a volley ball court and canoes too. I bet the place will be much livelier in Summer.

How I wish they could stay like this forever.

The clubhouse and the courts.

The public toilet and changing rooms.

The car park area.

Lastly, don't miss to go to Lake Thun when you are in Interlaken. ;)

Spring Holiday: Blausee, Swiss

Assalamulaikum

Blausee or Blue Lake is one of the best of mountain lakes and tourist attractions in Swiss. I found it in most of the blogs that i'd tumbled on during my research.. All their pictures were stunning and attractive. So we gotta go there too and see it with our own eyes, hehe.

Blausee is located in Kandersteg, about 45 minutes driving from Interlaken. Do not know how to go there by public transportation so if you do not rent a car like us, you must research on that ok ;)

Well, the lake was in the middle of the forest which also known as nature park, we walked a little bit before we see the gorgeous clear blue lake. Subhanallah!! It was so clear and we could see trouts fish in it! Masya Allah so many of them..the kids were excited watching them in the water.

The entry fee for adults was chf10 per person and chf6 for kids above 5 years old. and with that we could also go on a boat ride. We can't wait to explore the lake!!

Zafri and Iris was so delighted to be on the boat and happy to peek trouts from the tapered glass bottom of the boat. The boat ride was only 20 minutes only.

After that, Zahin and Iris got a chance to feed the trouts when the kind-hearted boater brought a pile of the trouts food approached us and let both the Eins feeding the trouts as long as they like. But I had to stop them you know..Hehe..

Then we went to find a private spot so that we could fill our hungry tummy. Of course there was a restaurant there but we preferred our own food and could save the money. ;)

On the way i managed to snap pictures of these kids too..of course without their permission. :P Glad to know that their parents were not near to be seen.. hehe i did not have a bad intention though

And once the Eins saw this giant slide..and off they went to play! huhu kids being kids!

And i took the opportunity to be hubby's model to pose here and there while they're playing...:D

then we found the playground too..they had a picnic spot too..

I had to force them eat and feed them while playing.

we found the private spot which overlooking the lake. So we ate while sitting on the bench peacefully...

And we did not missed the opportunity to do some photoshoot here..^^

Our romantic photoshoot as well..:D Tq Zahin! ;)

and here are Hisham Angels :D

when we finished, we used other route to go back to the main entrance. But actually it was a jungle trekking path and it's not kid/buggy-friendly so it was a very challenging route for us. :D

But issokay, we really enjoyed it so much...because we could see the lake from other angle..subhanallah!

And all of us managed to feel the water..it's very freezing cold, afraid to dip the whole hands in it..

at first, Zahin was afraid to joined me but once she tried..she can't stopped it..hehe

muka puas hati dpt main air
below are some of the lakeviews taken while passing the jungle trekking path...
