Parents Meeting

Assalamualaikum

We had Parents Meeting on last 17th of January. This time the Eins meeting were held on the same day. So that day, Zahin's finished at 1.30pm instead of 3.15pm so that parents can start meeting teachers as soon as the school time ended. :)

The meeting with Zahin's class teacher, Miss H was at 3.20pm but it only took less than 10 minutes. :D Too short to take pictures of her classroom before the meeting. During the meeting, Miss H said that Zahin's doing very well and told us she's kinda independent. Math and Literacy subject were her favourite subjects. Miss H said Zahin always get full marks in Math subject and she also showed us her Math reports. Hopefully she inherits from Babah who is very good at Math. As expected Miss H also said she loves reading and so into writing nowadays. She now have a diary and makes her own story-tale. ;) But Miss H said only that she needs to focus more on Punctuation. Ok noted...;)

Then we went to Iris's class. Unlike Zahin's meeting, Iris's Parents Meeting did not by appointment. Parents can come anytime between 3.30pm and 7pm. It's just a Walk-in meeting. So as soon as we arrived at her classroom, we saw the queue was quite long! Long enough for me to take a lot of pictures around the classroom. hehe curi-curilah tapi. :D They have a strict policy regarding privacy so cannot simply taking pictures without permissions.

For Iris, her class teacher said she's also doing good job. We also noticed her good progress. She can already write her name, Iris and her counting is much better..she passed her ABC until Z. Mrs. T, the class teacher told us that she gets along better with friends..but still she's quite..which really surprised us! We though she;s different from Zahin..but she's also as reserve as her big sister...hehe..

Other than that, we just discussed about her characters..when she is at home..etc. That's all..Mrs. T is a very easy-going person, we chatted with her longer than we were supposed to..no wonder other parents took long time too! haha...

Anyway, we were kinda satisfied to see their reports. Alhamdulillah. Keep it up to you both, my darlings! Ummi and babah will always be there for you..In shaa Allah..

Secret Artwork

It is a leisure saturday. Since the temperature has dropped abruptly to 1.5degree celcius we decided to stay indoor. After all Zahin's still not fully recovered from sick.( she started feverish last monday and missed school the rest of the week) and she still under medication. I think she's recovering now alhamdulillah.
Today, after breakfast, she played organ randomly until at one point i heard no more playing and heard the door was being shut. It's quite a while she locked herself in there. I wonder what was she doing as i was catching up with Lil Zafri in my room until she banged into my room and show the secret artwork that she and Iris had created!! Truthfully, it awed me! I know it's not that much compare to other children but for me i really like it! I think her drawing skill has improved! Well done, zahin! :) she even declared that the nice looking girl one is hers and the not so nice oned is Iris's. Haha i laughed out loud seeing it, i believe it is indeed Iris's. Habis dia conteng bagai, cheeky betul. ;D
How i wished i could do more arts with both of them..But we did canvas painting last two days! It was the first time for us. Even though i was pretty exhausted attending both of them including almost being a hulk but i still happy to see the outcomes! Hehe. Sorry darlings, cant help myself. Pls Blame my perfectionist trait in me la. heheh.
i will try to update about it k. It's just I'm too tired to upload the pics from our Dslr to lappie nowadays. Updating by iPhone is much easier for me now. I can just update on my bed while nursing lil Zafri. ;) But the only thing i dislike i cant upload more than 1 pic or is it just me who does not know? Anyone using iPhone can teach me? :D

Once Upon A Time

Salam all
I juz received this photo last week from kak Ana. Hihi old photo, but there's a story behind it. The sad one! It was taken at kak Ana's place when i went to deliver Zafri. We had to leave them, so Iris was real sad and crying and didnt want anyone else except her big sister. So zahin did the patting and comforting her all the time! It made me wanna cry everytime i look at this photo. So touching but yet so sweet. :)
Anyway, I always pray their relationship closer as they grow up year by year despite how they quarrel everyday now. Hihihi.

A quick update about their progress:

Zahin

Shes so into books, reading in progress as she learnt Phonic method at school. I was admiring her when she does the phonic reading like 'beh for B, ceh for C, deh for C and so on!! Hihi. Besides reading, she loves lego, puzzles and online games. She had solve several of 20pieces Disney puzzle by her own. Im gonna frame each of it iNsyaAllah. And nti nak cari lg kt carboot. Kt school plak cikgukata dia 'superstar' and seronok berkawan. Pegi mana2 ada je yg say hi kt dia. Yg best tu klu bdk lelaki tegur dia buat tatau je. Bila tny knp tak say hi blk, dia kata apatau 'dia bukan kawan Zahin' hahahahahaaaa sabar je lah..:D

Iris

Dah clash dgn DeLi. Hihi alhamdulillah. Gigi susu tgl 1 je lg nk tumbuh , tak nak kalah dgn Zafri kot. Heh. Iris punye selera dah good, smlm timbang dh dkt 13kg rupanya! Syukur!! Mcm zahin, iris is also fast learner but ummi je tade masa nk ajar dia mcm2. Tak sempat skrg. :( nak anta nursery, kene tgu 3tahun dulu. Sigh. Oh not diaper free yet. Im not worried, for me lg lmbt lg sng. May be tgu ummi cuti semester kot nk potty train dia. InsyaAllah.

Over Creative

Though, we don't have a garden for the Eins to play at, it doesn't mean the girls can't play. If we have a garden, we will let them play outside especially during summer.
But what to do, we dont have one and we can't go to one as this year ramadhan falls on summer..itupon hubby bawa juga the Eins ke playground berdekatan and I guess it will be the first and last!:P
So being creative, they always know what to do at home and sometimes they tend to get over creative that make us turn green.:D.
But I don't blame them as I'm busily coping with zafri while hubby is busy with his research study so sometimes we totally ignore them...
Later we will found out that our living room is just like a sunken ship with papers, painting tools, clothes, and books and toys are everywhere!! O.M.G.
Fine but not until I saw my avent via cup was used as their water container with the paint brushes in it AND my laptop was covered with Upin & Ipin stickers all over it then I feel like to pass out!
Huhuhu why la my avent via cup anak2ku? Aihh Kalau Ada banyak macam mommy Adam tak pe la Jgk. ;P lg satu lappie tu, Malu wey ummi nak bwk Pegi school klu dah mcm tu rupanya. Isk3.

Our Precious

OK, Siapa lagi 'Our Precious' kalau bukan anak-anak, kan? Since Zahin is already on summer school break, as yesterday was her last day at the nursery (will update this soon) so for the first time after Zafri's born, hubby is able to go to university this morning around 10a.m. Zahin was still deeply in the slumber with Iris..Sian dia, sebelum ni around 8a.m dah bangun utk siap2 ke sekolah dgn babahnya. Since Zafri was born, hubby who's the one manage her from taking bath until tying her hair..then send her off to nursery, even ushered her into her classroom. (kinda nursery rules too :P) Sometimes i feel bad and pity towards them but i can't do anything as Zafri needs me most of the time(clings to my B)..and whenever i bring on the subject to hubby, he always comfort me. He's very understanding and responsible husband and father. I know i'm very lucky. Alhamdulillah! Everday i pray, wish i can be a better wife and mother for him and our precious.

But it's hard, i'm not perfect. Sometimes my patience is tested. I got angry too. Especially if the Eins refused to listen to me. For example, ummi ni dah banyak kali cakap elok, lembut-lembut, sabar sampai sakit dada menahan marah tapi masih lagi buat perangai, ha mulalah naik darah ummi. So apalagi startla suara naik pitching dan tangan pun sama cepat..huhuhu. My bad, ummi suka cubittt. TAPI tu masa belum ada Zafri, dah ada Zafri ini i noticed i've been slow down...MAY BE...after my latest delivery which was a life-threatening one and almost loosing Zafri, i really realized that anak-anak ni AMANAH, ANUGERAH dan HARTA yang tidak ternilai daripada-NYA. Sebelum ni sedar akan sume tu tapi macam ala2 je lah. Even skrg ni pun, kerapkali teralpa juga..tapi bila teringat je pengalaman bersalin haritu terus INSAF. Sejak tu ummi kurang marah, bila babah marah ummi plak tegur babah spy jgn marah derg. hihi.

Hopefully, at this age of 30 years old, i will become a better person from i was during 20th years old. :P (Aihh, entry my 30th birthday lastmonth pun tak sempat update lg :D) Instead of trying to be a better khalifah, i want to be a better (sebelum ni dah good :P) wife to en Hisham and a better ummi to our precious. Amin...!

So after lunch this afternoon ummi snap2 gambar. Bila perut dah kenyang tu maka hati masing2 pon senang..Apatah lagi, babah janji nak bawak derg pegi cycling bila babah balik. So happy faces, lepas derg tolong tidy-up everthing on the floor, i dressed them siap2. Mood tengah happy, bolehla ummi dress up kan ketidak ikut pilihan dia je nak pakai baju apa. Huh. Tapi sebab ummi pakaikan derg skirt derg sukalah, skrg ni tgh mode pakai skirt je 24/7. Hui, skirt baru basuh dok dlm washing machine tak sempat sidai lg, iris dh amik pakai basah2. Adoiiilaa. Mana tak pening kpl ummi..huhuhu...

By just looking at three of them, smiling, laughing and even quarelling really made my day. And i cant imagine life without them. To Zahin, Iris & Zafri, ummi and babah always love you. You are our precious wealth in this world and you have completed us. Kalau ummi dan babah marah, tu tandanya kami sayang sangat pada kalian bertiga. And lastly, our best prayers and wishes are always be with you wherever you are...we will tr our best to give you the best. Insya Allah.

TRAMPOLINE'S LOVER

The Eins always love to 'trampoline' on our bed..No matter how we warn them not to, they just simply ignore us. Aih..lagi kita kata jangan, lagi dibuatnya tau.. I know i should divert them to other activity though but i didn't coz tak larat. Hence yesterday, Iris had ended up knocking her head on the wall! few times ok! Huhu my bad!

as a result, she got two red n swollen spots on her left-side of forehead now.. mula2 ingatkan tade pape..sob2..

Mind you, she cried loudly after knocked her head on the wall, but she still wanted to trampoline again and again! No matter how many times i have reminded her of the incident, she seems doesn't care. Lagi-lagi ada tok guru kan..sape lagi la klu bukan along dia tuh. Dia pun join je la. aihh sabo je la..tak serik2 tau! huhu.

So just now i had no choice except to let them doing their favourite activity but this time i had watched them very closely by sitting at the edge of the bed. (with my cammie..;p)  n even tho i had put few pillows and a duvet between them and the wall, to prevent them from falling towards the wall, still i could have a heart attack whenever iris tripped herself down.

Haish tengoklah, budak kecik yang tak reti balance kan lg badan dia tuh, aseeeek la terjatuh. mana tak tension umi dia ni ha..aihh.

Katil pun katil la jadi trampoline diorang. Pity them. How we wish to buy them a real trampoline if there would be any at car boot sales (cbs)..but the problem is there is no more space to put in this lil house. huhu. that's why hubby thinks of moving out to a new house as a solution but let's just wait and see..:)

FREE DENTAL CHECK FOR KIDS

Yesterday, hubby took the Eins to ASDA supermarket to kill time while waiting for me who got an appointment at N.U.H. Hubby told me as soon as they entered the entrance, they were approached by a promoter who invited the Eins to do free dental check at the pharmacy where she works at. Since there was nothing else to do than roaming around the store, hubby decided to bring the Eins there! I was surprised to hear that but according to hubby, both of them were giving good co-operation towards the dentist. hihihi.

As a proof, they got dental reports for each of them. :D

At Zahin's age, her teeths are already enough which is 20. Each report shows illustration of the upper and lower teeths. The cross sign meant Zahin hasnt got the teeth yet. But at the upper front teeth, the dentist put < > sign. Meaning, her teeths have a little corrosion already. Tiang Gol kecik! ;p At the lower part, two from her gigi geraham got holes. Yg macam tanda w and ^ tu..:D So the dentist advised hubby to bring Zahin to any dentist so that they could give her some treatment. Bila tu? tengoklah bila ada kesempatan nanti. :D

For lil Iris, the moment the dentist try to put a mirror into her mouth, she quickly bite it. Hihihii so funny, hubby told me the dentist also laughed at that time. :D Iris memang pantang, even jari ummi pun dia gigit setiap kali suap dia makan tau! huhu. Overall, the dentist satisfied with Iris's teeths. Even it's not enough yet, but all of her twelve tooths are in good condition. But i always worried of her, because she always refused to brush her teeths compare to Zahin. I had suspected because of dia lambat tumbuh gigi. Zahin umur 5 bulan dah ada gigi, so lagi dia baby dah biasa brushing. Iris bila start brushing tu dia dah almost 1 year old, so dia dah pandai mengelak2. Grr..lepas ni no more excuse for u, lil girl! Otherwise, i'm afraid your teeths will be decayed sooner compare to Along. :(

Hubby also admitted to the dentist that the Eins love chocolates. The dentist said it's OK to have chocolate in their diet but only to be consumed one daily. Ha satu chocolate aje setiap hari ye anak2...Ini tidak, the Eins ni pantang nampak chocolate banyak..selagi tak habis, selagi tu makan...nak wat mcm mana, like father, like doters. Anak-beranak soooo 'Hantu Cekelat!' ;p Aunty Yus ngan uncle Hadzley pun tau sgt dah bdk2 ni hantu chocolate, klu datang rumah aunty yus, habis chocolate aunty yus derg kejekan..hihi.

After the check, the Eins got a goodie bag for each.

Apparently, the goodie bag was the bait that made Zahin agreed to do the check! hahaha sabo je la...

Inside the goodie bags, they got each of these, the mirror and the sand timer and also the disney stickers.

So today, both of them played as the dentist and the patient. Dulu tanya Zahin bila besar nak jadi apa, katanya nak jadi doktor. Bila tanya doktor apa? Doktor lelah jawabnya! ;p Patu2 doktor pompuan plak..;p Sekarang nak jadi doktor gigi plak...hihihi..

Lakonan semata-mata. Hihihi. Nway, ada bakat tak? ;p

Sekejap aje, lepas tu mirror tu jadi sudu plak! Berlakon suapkan adik makan..huhu sabo ajelah! siap ambil princess paper plate tuh. Yang Iris pun pandai jgk berlakon makan. aum..hahaha..

HER NEW NURSERY

Once we'd found out that the nearest school from our house has no more available place for Zahin at their nursery, we tried to find other nurseries without any delay. After surfing the internet, we discovered there were few nurseries nearest. So hubby quickly contacted their management via phone first to ask whether the nursery was still available for Zahin. Then, the person who answered had asked us to come on the next day to discuss further about it.



at the main entrance. We went there by car. May be we could walk whenever it's sunny. :)

First time we visit the nursery, i actually got an appointment at N.U.H so we just went there to fill the registration form first. We had consulted with Joan who was a Parent/Toddler Co-Ordinator there. She was in-charged for toddler's playgroup which is held twice a week. After handing back the forms to her, she told us that the management will ring us as soon as possible. The good news was she said that Zahin might have a chance since there was one class which still has three more places for her but she just wanted to confirmed it first with the class teacher. Oh we were so glad to hear that and praying so that they will accept Zahin to be one of the three. Before we left, Joan also invited us to join their playgroup while waiting for the result. We were very appreciate upon her offer so we agreed to come next day.

The playgroup is for children from 0-2 yrs old and accompanied by the parents. While the babies/toddlers playing, the parents monitoring them. 15 minutes before the session ends, Joan will conduct a story-telling/singing. :) And the fee was only 1 pound for every session. They provide some food and beverages not only for toodlers, but parents too. We really had fun that day and wished to come again.

Last monday, suddenly there were two visitors arrived in front of our door. They introduced themselves as a teacher and nursery nurse.  I was surprised to see them! Apparently, Joan tried to call our house but our phone line was not in order at the moment. So, they just came up! Luckily, ada one lady so i let them in. If not, i couldn;t becoz hubby wasnt at home, he went to see his supervisor that day. :(.

While Tim, the teacher was interviewing me, Teresa, the nursery nurse had interviewed Zahin and attended Iris as well. :D Zahin did quite well that day in spite of her not so good health condition and broken English. ;p Teresa brought some papers, scissor, pencil colour and toys so she watched and attended Zahin drawing, cutting papers and doing puzzle. :D She also interacted with Iris and gave her some toys to be played with so that she wont bother me much. Basically, Tim had asked about Zahin;s early education background, her personality, her independency, her sociality level and her allergics.

After about half hour, Tim conveyed me the good news that Zahin could start her first day at nursery on the very next day! I was taken aback! I could't believe it myself coz I thought she will only start by next month after the term break as per Joan had mentioned before.  Nway, i was happy to know that finally Zahin was accepted into nursery and couldn;t wait to tell hubby! ^_^

Apparently, the class teacher will be Tim and Zahin will be go to Oak class and will be provided with Halal food. Again, i was surprised..ada halal food siap! But she could bring home-made food, but only the healthy food. Any chocolates or candies were not allowed. :D

This pic was  taken by Tim during the home visit. He printed it out to put in Zahin's special book at the nursery as a memory and gave one copy to us so i put it on our fridge! Again, hubby was sad as he wasnt at home that day and he's not in the pic. :(



Since this nursery is under government body and it is public, there is no education charge or any registration fee. We just need to pay only 4 pounds or around RM20 for Zahin's special book and library bag. Zahin will bring this library bag to the nursery only on thursday and will come back home with one story-book to be borrowed for a week. ;)

Zahin's ready to go to nursery. As you see, the bag was not belong to her..According to hubby, Teresa gave her in order to comfort her. Comfort? Yes, Zahin cried everytime we wanted to leave her..hehe. When hubby came to fetch her the teachers said she only cried for a while. After that, they told that she was too busy to cry! Hihihi. The bag was returned the next day but we bought her a new bag, (similar type of bag only its pink colour) so that she didnt feel sad thinking that the teacher had taken it back after giving to her. :)

So on her first day at the nursery, we were asked to stay until the session ends. Overall, we were satisfied. According to them, there will be no formal lessons at the nursery. She just come and play. When we were there, we were impressed to see the classrooms where they have a specific class for painting, colouring, drawing. Another class with sand, rice and water place. The music class and the reading class as well. They got a huge ladscaped garden aka the outdoor playground!

I was like, are u kidding me? This nursery is just like a heaven for Zahin! :D And so far, we got good and positive feedbacks from Zahin. She even said that her nursery here is much cooler compare to her nursery at Malaysia, An-Nur Gemilang! Sabo je la..hihihi. But for me, as long as she's happy, we're happy too. Alhamdulillah!

Lastly, i hope she enjoys herself there, makes new friends as many as she could and learns basic stuffs as much as she could. :)

LET'S GO OUT AND HAVE FUN, BABEH!

Last wednesday, after hubby came back from meeting his supervisor, we took the Eins out to the playground nearby. The Eins had been super bored being at home for days. Hihi pity them..

See, how happy both of them got to play the swings. :) Zahin tak pakai winter jacket sebab jacket nya tak fully kering lagi ummi cuci.  Tapi ummi pakaikan dia dua lapis sweater yg biru dan yg purple-grey kat sebelah dalam. Alhamdulillah, so far Zahin sihat, Iris pun sihat..tak selsema walaupun waktu tu angin kuat dan sejuk sangat sampai ke tulang hitam!

Zahin's new fringe. Hee. I'd cut her fringes. Too bad it was too short. :( Nway, hubby kata Zahin nampak macam masa dia baby balik. So okla kan. hee.

Lil Iris bukan main suka lagi kene swing dengan ummi. hihi. Iris relax aje tak sejuk, ummi sampai ber'mafla', ber'glove' bagai. kekeke.

Lepas puas main swing, naik spinner ni plak. Ummi pon tumpang sekaki..padahal ummi dah tak larat berdiri lama-lama. ;D Siapa Tukang spin? sape lagi, babah la. ;)

Iris tengok babah spin, dia pun sibuk nak spin jugak. hihi. tapi kuat tau lil girl ni, berpusing jugak lah kami. hee.

Then they tried out those spring horses. Tapi Zahin tak minat sangat so sekejap je naik...tak mencabar. Dia prefer....

Ini ha. Memang feveret dia! Suka sangat sebab dapat panjat-panjat tangga..:D

Iris pun apalagi, berlari-lari anak nak join along dia. :D

Muka fokus and concentrate habis! hihihihi..

Yang ni plak Zahin beriya-iya nak bergayut ala-ala monkey tapi tak terer lagi. hihi.

As usual Iris pun nak try jugak tapi babah kata Iris kecik lagi..Kecian dia, muka kecewa je. :(

Then happy semula. Iris macam ummi, sekejap je mood berubah-ubah..;p

Tak macam Zahin, tak makan dipujuk. Haritu bila dah makin gelap, ajaklah dia balik rumah. Lgpun angin makin kuat, makin sejuk. Brr..tapi Zahin TAK NAK BALIK! Grr..sabo je la. Dah bagi extra time, pun tak puas lagi. So apalagi sepanjang jalan balik ke rumah menangis smpi rumah terkucil2. Grr...ada hati lagi nk stay main kt playground tu..! Isk3.

LET'S BE CREATIVE WITH LEGO

The Eins are still unwell so we decide to stay and rest at home during the weekend. After all the temperature has also fallen back to subzero celcius hence it's wise for us to just stayed indoor. :)

So most of the time, the Eins spend time with playing lego under hubby's supervision. It's totally Father-Daughters' Quality Time. I loikee..:)

Hubby had created a robot. Orang dalam bidang robotics la katakan..balik2 robot jugak la yang dia buat. :D

Then hubby passed the robot to the Eins and Zahin tried to improvise it here and there..:) Upsie, juz ignore my shirt at the back..hihi. Kat sini sidai baju dekat heater dalam rumah jer..huhu)

So delighted her to see the robot could stand by itself. hehe.

The face expression as soon as Iris crushed the robot down...huhu Sedih banget! Tak pe Zahin, boleh buat lg..tak pun try buat lain plak k. :D

Here hubby was showing Iris how to make an aeroplane. ;)

That aeroplane was still not fully done , dear! Hihi..cheeky girl la you!

OK back to aeroplane in the making, yeayy..

Ok done! Let's see whether it could fly or not..Yeah, it could! :p

Zahin also wanted to create her version of aeroplane...;)

Actually, Zahin dan pandai buat macam-macam pakai lego ni ikut instruction dlm pamphlet yang dibekalkan..tapi biasalah umi tak sempat ambil gambar..:)

Babah berniat nak belikan lego lagi sempena birthday Iris yang ke-2 tak lama lagi..tengoklah macam mana! Walaupun mahal, tapi banyak kebaikan main lego ni kan. ;) Tapi kat sini lebih murah berbanding di Malaysia. So Insya Allah kalau ada rezeki boleh la beli buat koleksi sikit-sikit selagi kat UK ni..:)
