BOXING DAY SALES

Boxing Day Sales ini ala-ala YES juga lah di Malaysia. Actually, Boxing Day ialah Bank Holiday atau public holiday selepas hari Krismas iaitu biasanya pada 26 Dec. Boxing Day ni juga dah menjadi tradisi orang-orang sini untuk keluar membeli-belah. Kebanyakan outlet/pusat membeli belah mengadakan jualan besar-besaran sehingga 70-80% diskaun. :)

Oleh kerana tahun ini Krismas jatuh hari Sabtu, Bank Holiday/Boxing Day ini rupanya telah dianjak hari kepada hari isnin atau selasa. Macam kat Malaysia juga, kalau cuti umum jatuh hari ahad, biasanya hari isnin cuti kan. ;)

Oleh kerana masih baru di sini, kami ingatkan Boxing Day ini 26 Dec lah..jadi kami telah pergi shopping hari itu. :D Kebetulan masa anniversary kami pada 24 Dec tu kami tak ke mana-mana. Kira shopping masa Boxing Day ni special anniversary treat la buat IshamIzu..Hehe. Tapi yang geram tu, kami spent sikit je utk kami, yang banyak untuk The Eins. Huhuhu...

Ashford Designer Outlet, di Kent, England.

Kami konvoi bersama Hadzley dan Yus menuju ke Kent, selatan England ada pukul 9.30a.m. Mujurlah dah beli kereta dan Garmin. Saya juga sempat memasak nasi lemak, sambal, ayam goreng, telur mata dan sausage selepas solat Subuh..jadi itulah bekal makanan dalam perjalanan yang mengambil masa lebih kurang sejam. Pertama kali keluar dari kota London membuatkan kami berasa teruja sekali. Pemandangan sepanjang jalan memutih diseliputi salji. Kent dikenali sebagai The Garden of England, cantik tempatnya. Kami juga melalui sebuah tunnel underwater yang merentasi Thames River, satu pengalaman baru buat kami. :)

Hari sebelumnya dah survey outlet apa yang ada kat sini. So bila sampai terus tuju kat outlet2 yang dikehendaki..to save time..hehe. Kalau nak ikutkan ada lebih daripada 60 designer outlet tapi kami pergi beberapa outlet aje. Lagipun budget kami sikit aje. So kami hanya serbu outlet Next, Clarks, Mark n Spencer, Gap, Nike, Adidas dan Reebok. Selesai pusing satu round, tengok-tengok eh ada duit lagi..so, pusing for a second round..beli lagi utk The Eins kat Next..then masuk Clarks ingat nak beli sling bag...last-last tak beli jugak. Huhu. Kemudian Ingatkan nak masuk Polo Ralph Lauren pulak tetapi bila tengok line panjang kt entrance dia terus tak jadi. Huhu.

Pada saya, sistematik dan praktikal lagi Ashford Designer Outlet compare to Cheshire Oak Outlet di Midlands, UK..(berdekatan dengan Manchester). Ini kerana kedudukan outlet-outletnya yang bersebelahan antara satu sama lain dan dalam hanya dalam satu bulatan je. tak macam kt Cheshire, agak susah nak cari satu-satu outletnya. Tapi Cheshire merupakan outlet terbesar d UK..may be sebabtu la susah nak cr outlet, ia mempunyai lebih seratus outlet. ;) Contoh Kt Ashford ni tiada outlet Timberland dan Zara..kesian kami..hehe..

Lepas change nappie Iris kt Mother n Baby Room dan ambil wudhu',  kasi diorang naik ni. Kesian diorang penat ikut umi dan babah soping! kira upah la ni konon..hehehe

Lepas bersolat duduk di bangku-bangku yang disediakan, kami pun bergegas ke kereta. Hari dah pun gelap, cuaca dah semakin dingin walaupun jam baru menunjukkan pukul 4p.m. Tak sangka dekat lima jam juga kami di situ..huhu. Bila dah sampai kereta, baru terasa sakit kaki..hehehe..Sebelum pulang, sempat lagi mengisi perut dengan nasi lemak sejuk di dalam kereta..:D

Alhamdulillah, kami dapat beli sepasang kasut sukan seorang. Lepas pergi Nike, Adidas dan Reebok, nampaknya kami berkenan dan jatuh hati dengan kasut sukan Reebok. ;) The Eins pulak dapat sepasang kasut Clarks..Kt Malaysia tahan je drpd membeli sebab mahal. Kt sini dapat beli walaupun tadelah murah sgt. ;p Yang lain2 nya banyak baju n accessories The Eins dan tak lupa juga utk Little Baby..umi belikan rompers kt GAP and cute snowcaps kt Next. Adey..memang rambang ah tengok baju budak2 ni! hehe..Tak pe la kalau ada rezeki lebih nanti kita pergi shopping lagi ye..

P.S Esoknya pergi Ikea and Mothercare pulak..besar betul outlet dia, lagi heaven! Tapi budget pulak tgl ciput je. Isk!

WEATHER SHOCK

We were welcomed by extremely cold weather in winter. The mean of the temperature in the first week of our arrival was only between -2 degree and 0 degree celcius. The coldness was undesribabled. Huhu! And it was snowing in the following week though. So that's when The Eins had started to fall sick. Mula-mula dua-dua kena selsema, esoknya Zahin demam diikuti pula oleh Iris. Bila sakit, dua-dua meragam, bad mood, tak berapa nak makan dan minum. Sedih sangat tengok keadaan diorang masa tu. T_T

Zahin's temperature went so high during night and so hot until she claimed her eyes were also burning. :(

Mujurlah Yus ada juga beri sebotol Tamarind paste jadi dapatlah ummi jerlum kepala dan lap badan dia dengan tamarind water. Pipi dan bibir pun sampai dah naik merah dan kering. Ubat demam, Uphamol, Nurufen dan Calpol sekejap aje berkesan, lepas empat jam panas balik. Kalau pergi klinik pun sama jugak rasanya. :(

BTW Iris pun sama jugak, cuma tiada gambar je. Tak sempat daaa..Once caught in cold and fever in winter, it would take some time to be fully recovered. Tapi Alhamdulillah up to date The Eins dah sihat..:) So atuk, atuk, nenek-nenek, pakcik dan mak cik jangan risau k, insya Allah ummi dan babah akan jaga The Eins baik-baik kat sini. ;)

P.S Today is Tok Mak's birthday. Happy 53rd birthday, Tok Mak! We love and miss you so much. :)

LONDON HERE WE COME

Our flight from KLIA to London Heathrow LHR took approximately thirteen hours and it was a non-transit flight. Oh we were lucky to get straight flight otherwise i could not imagine how difficult it would be. TQ MOHE. ;) (Teringat kesusahan semasa transit kat Dubai tiga tahun yang lepas..hampir-hampir miss flight balik Malaysia. huhu.)

Nway, in the aircraft, The Eins were at the top of their behaviour. :) Zahin watched cartoon series and played games after games until falling asleep. Iris was the same, but later she was a lilttle bit cranky. Few times dia terjaga, menangis. So pecah lah mucles kitorang kene gilir-gilir dukung dia, hubby siap dodoikan dia sambil jalan-jalan lagi. huhu. But not only Iris, i felt quite restless too because could not really sleep due to improper position. Macam nak patah pinggang ni! huhu..Nway, that was the first time for us traveling with MAS and overall i guess it was allright. ;)

Finally, the aircraft had safely touchdown at LHR airport on Tuesday, 7th of December at 5a.m. Syukur alhamdulillah. The pilot announced that the local temperature at the moment was -2 degrees celcius. :S Few crews had concerned when they saw us only wearing light..but we convinced them we had our winter coat for each in our hand luggages. So as soon as we exit the aircraft, while waiting for the strollers, we took out the coats and put on us immediately. Apakah, kat situ lagi dah terasa kesejuk-bekukannya wei..belum outside the airport lg...brrrr.

Once after we picked up the strollers, we found our way out to meet Mr immigration at Non European Union counter. Luckily, there were only few non-EU so we did not have to queue long. ;) Mr Immigration was seem to be super duper warm and friendly, and he had made us felt most welcome to the UK. hehe. Without going through eye or biometric scan we were released by him. After that we went to take the rest of our luggages at the baggage hall before we found ouselves were finally at arrival hall. No curious dog, no further security. It was as simple as that. Alhamdulillah. But what i had regret most was because we did not bring any rempah-ratus or exotic food from Malaysia. Huhu rugi, rugi..i should  have trusted on my instinct. :(

At the terminal, hubby went to a bookshop to change some coins. He needed some pences so that he could call Hadzley from a phone booth. Hadzley is hubby's colleague at UTem who would fetch us. Since the parking fee at airport is quite expensive,  he decided to wait outside the airport until we called him. After calling him, we waited him outside the terminal so that he could notice us easily. It was damn freezing outside and there was when hubby managed to take out DSLR and took some photos of us.

Not longer after that, Hadzley arrived. We quickly loaded ourselve and all luggages into his MPV. It was so good to get in it, the heater was on and had kept us a lil bit warm. ^_^ It was still early in the morning and it took us almost 1 hour to Hadzley's place at Ilford, East London. Hadzley said we were early and lucky enough for not having stuck in  a massive jam in London since it was during weekday/working day. Phewww, what a relief. I could not imagine that, because what we really needed the most was a nice bed and a pillow as soon as we arrived at Hadzley's home sweet home..hehe.

Hmm rindu tak kat kami? ;)

LEAVING ON A JET PLANE

If you followed previous post from my previous  blog, you may remember that we had problem in applying visa before we leave for UK. Don't be surprised to know that our visas have actually been refused twice! Meaning we lost almost 10K not just 5K. Huhu poor us. For the second time our problem was a Confirmation of Acceptance For Studies number (CAS No.) Apparentlty, hubby had given the obsolete one even though he had confirmed it with IC before re-applying at British High Commission. Hmm dah takdir kan?  However hubby had no choice rather than withrawing money and applying again visa for the third time no matter how devastated he was. :(

Alhamdulillah, finally our visa were being approved on friday, 3rd of December. On the same day after collecting them at Wisma MCA in Jalan Ampang, KL, hubby had quickly made a phone call to UTAS Travel agency to resceduled our flight earlier. It was supposed to be on 8th of December. But after short negotiation with the travel agent we had confirmed our flight to Monday, 6th of December. But had to pay them fine first due to last minute amendment. Huhu there went our $$$ again..but this time losing of RM400 was nothing compare to losing of RM10K. Hmm. For hubby, he said the most important thing was the earlier we fly off to UK was the better because he's already lagging behind his earlier plan to start PhD on 1st December. (Well, talking about my man who has always got to be punctual everytime.. Tapi sejak dapat isteri slow ni, tak dapek den nak nolong! Ampunnn. hehehe)

Then the day had arrived. :( We gathered at KLIA juz after solat jamak Maghrib & Isya' prayer. We reached at Departure terminal quite early so hubby went to a one corner for wrapping luggage service while i talked with Irra! (Good to get talking with u, lalim :)) We wrapped all four luggages for RM40. Juz for precaution. (Takut kan dengar kes orang letak-letak dadah dalam beg orang lain.) I also managed to bring Zahin with me to the toilet for pee first. heheh. Takut line check-in panjang. ;) Not longer after that, the Malaysian Airlines opened check-in counters for London. We were hurried lining up and lucky enough for being among the earliest! The process took quite awhile and then when i had missed a call from Yus. (Sorry lalim..:() Nway, we had total of 80KG and our luggages weighed about 77KG, pheww it's almost there..berbaloi packing n weighing them many times. hehehe.

After checked in, we have about one hour before going into waiting hall. Here we spent time chatting with our beloved family member before we had to bid good bye. It was quite melancholic for me..i don't know the other..;p Orang mengandung ni kan lain macam sikit sensitivity nya..;p I was worried of Iris because she's a Tok Mak's hearthrobe. Tak boleh berenggang langsung dengan Tok Mak. As usual, if Tok Mak's around, she will not see or care about me. Huhu. Seriously, during checked in, Iris cried and longed for Tok Mak. Tok Mak manalah boleh line up sekali, tak dibenarkan oleh security. Kalau ikutkan my mom, i know she would follow her grandoter wherever my lil girl wants her. So i was struggled at the counter, holding her tightly. If not lucky, she could get away from me and run to her Tok Mak. Sedih betul masa tu.

Masa nak berpisah tu mujur lah Iris tak buat drama air mata. Itupun because my mom decided to stand quite far from being seeing by Iris tau. Tak sanggup nak tengok cucunya nangis nak kat dia. How terribly sad i felt at that time. Iskk mulalah air mata ni nak berderai. sobsob). After hugging each other and bidding our final good bye with eyes shed, we went down by elevators towards the immigration counter. After we got our passports approval stamp, we walked in straight to the immigration scan counter before finding our way to waiting hall at Gate 16. Sharp at 11.30p.m we were called for boarding. It's time to leave on the jet plane.  Good bye Malaysia, good bye everybody. Insya Allah we will meet again next time.

THE ICE-BREAKING

I would like to dedicate this blog  especially to our beloved family in Malaysia whom we currently miss so much. *sob* Here I will try to share as much as i can about our activity while living abroad with alot of photos. Semoga terubat sedikit rindu atuk-atuk dan nenek-nenek serta pakcik dan mak cik terhadap The Eins, hehe.

Also not forget to all my beloved friends and blogger friends, welcome to my new blog! Hee. I hope we can always keep in touch wherever we are. :) I wish to meet more new friends/bloggers to share new things too. Hopefully we can share the good, the bad stories, (or anything) and exchange oppinions with each other about it. (Don't hesitate to drop by here and say hi, ok? :))

 After this, I am gonna use Bahasa Melayu, English or both (rojak ;p) to write in here so if there's any grammatical error, I definitely appreciate your constructive comment/correction. I know i may not be a good writer, but I promise you to be a good story-teller from time to time. (Juz, please do not judge the writer by her writing! :p)

Last but not least, i hope this simple journal will bring all the goodness and will be the sweetest memory in our life . Insya Allah. Amin.
